Item cost reduction
It is widely known that the same products are sold at different prices. China has a large land area, and each region has different production and distribution prices, and not only production factories, but also many distributors register and sell products, so the prices are different. Factory Direct connects you to hundreds of Chinese manufacturing factories and buys any product at factory supply prices.
By eliminating distribution channels, the price of purchasing the same product is cheaper than purchasing from other purchasing agents or individuals.
Delivery cost reduction
If you use a purchasing agent or shipping agent, the buyer becomes the importer and bears the fixed costs alone, such as customs clearance and document costs, that occur each time you import. This fee, which is paid to the logistics company and customs agent for each import, is a fixed fee regardless of the quantity of goods. However, since factory direct purchase imports in bulk at once, the additional cost is lower than when each individual (or company) becomes an importer and proceeds. In addition, since it is a mass import of factory direct purchase, not each individual (or company), the shipping cost is measured in CBM (box volume unit) rather than weight unit. CBM shipping cost measurement, which is possible only for bulk imports, is much cheaper than measuring the same product by weight.
Tariff reduction
A free trade agreement (FTA) between Korea and China has been in effect since 2015, and tariff discounts are available when importing Chinese products. (General tariff rate 6~25%, FTA tariff rate 0~7.5%) In order to receive this FTA tariff, exporters must issue an FTA certificate of origin, but most Chinese wholesale site sellers do not issue it. Purchasing agency/delivery agency separately charges 40,000 ~ 50,000 won for issuing agency as an option. In factory direct purchase, basically, FTA country of origin is certified and imported, so customers' goods are also applied at discounted tariffs without separate billing.
